My Story

2

My life has been a journey of self-discovery, of exploration and of awakening self-love. I have been gifted the opportunities, often through traumatic experiences, to allow the abundance of my heart.

It has been, and continues to be, a journey of healing, of revealing deeper depths of potential and connecting with practices, women/men and tools that reinvigorate my life with vitality and joy.

I had grown up in a household where was no support and emotions were neglected. I often felt isolated, insecure, anxious and alone. Through adolescence and into my twenties I battled with depression and anxiety, but slowly, with the guidance of therapy, and the support this offered, I began to slowly feel much greater inner strength. This brought me to begin the journey of self-discovery and healing, and led me to become a massage therapist, my first encounter with the healing capacity of the body.

My spiritual journey began almost twenty-five years ago during my first solo travel to Asia, when I was introduced to Buddhism, yoga and meditation. Along this path I met many different teachers and traditions.

While recovering from an accident in 2015, my pre-menopause had begun and I felt in the hospital I had lost my femininity, I had become disconnected from my being as a woman, this was a new challenge to confront. Thankfully, I was introduced to a female pelvic floor training, and this put me on a path of transformation, a realisation of the power of conscious touch, of couples intimacy practices, of being totally present within my body and its pleasures, without expectation, focusing on my well being and feeling whole.

To fully heal from the accident I decided I needed to focus on trauma work; Somatic Experiencing, Craniosacral Therapy, Trauma Release exercises, which had a strong impact on me and the healing capacities of these practices began the journey I am now on – and want to share with woman facing similar situations.
